Mix baking soda with coconut oil and apply this cream on the face

Instead of spending a lot of money on products that don’t even help your skin and also contain ingredients full of chemicals, you can make a natural cream with just two ingredients you probably already have them: coconut oil and baking soda.

You will need:

– coconut oil
– baking soda

Direction:

You must know what type of skin you have in order to know how much amount of these 2 ingredients you have to use.

For sensitive skin, use at least 2: 1 ratio coconut oil/ baking soda. If you need a natural scrub, use a ratio of 1: 1 coconut oil/baking soda.

All you have to do is to mix the ingredients together and apply the resulting cream on the skin. You can leave it as a mask for a few minutes or simply cleanse your face with warm water, using a circular movement.

  1. How much do you use of each? Let it soak on or wash it off?

    • Sensitive skin use 2 parts coconut oil to 1 part baking soda
      Normal skin 1:1 ratio
Use as a scrub or leave on like a mask and rinse with warm water

    • Colleen, click on the “expand aricle” and it will give you the ratio of mixture and how to use the cream. Hope that helps you.

    • If you hit the expand article button, they give you examples of ratios for the ingredients and directions on how to use it.

  2. What will result from using this?

    • This is a fantastic cream/ointment if you have acne. Coconut oil itself is great for acne, but the combination has a great reaction and penetration. I’ve been told that once in the am and once in the pm is a good amount, and will clear your acne better then proactive (which never worked for me).

  3. Is it also useful for pimple prone skin?

  4. What are the quantities of coconut oil and bakin soda?

    • 1 / 1 .. 1 tbs of coconut oil, 1 tbs of baking soda !

If you don’t want to scrub your face, use 1 tbs of coconut oil and 1/2 tbs of baking soda.

      Have a great day

  5. How much do you need of each? And for how long do you keep it on?

  6. I make something similar to this with olive oil and baking soda, about a teaspoon of each to make a loose paste, as a gentle exfoliating face scrub. It is like a mild microderm abrasion treatment. However, don’t leave on for more than a few minutes, less if you have sensitive skin, as baking soda can be irritating to the skin.

  7. Way to go. Create an article regarding a facial application, but don’t tell us why to use it.
