Itching and burning sensation experienced by people who suffer from hives can be relieved with natural remedies.
Skin eruptions may occur as an allergic reaction to a particular food, medication (more common in children) or a viral infection. In some situations, red and swollen areas may occur due to exposure to heat or cold. The anti-allergic plants that have depurative effects (favoring the elimination of toxins) are recommended to treat hives, and pansies are on the top of the list.
Pansy tincture to treat hives
Add 20g of dried pansy flowers in 100ml of alcohol and let it macerate for 10-14 days. Strain the liquid and take 15 drops of tincture 3 times a day until hives disappears.
Pansy infusion to treat night rashes
With a strong anti-allergic effect, pansy infusion is indicated to relieve hives symptoms, especially rashes occurred during night.
Add one handful of dried pansy flowers into a cup with 200 ml of boiling water. Leave the cup covered for 10 minutes. Strain the infusion and drink 3 cups a day until the symptoms disappear.
A more concentrated infusion can be made from 4 tablespoons of plant to one cup of water. After straining, take one spoonful of infusion every three hours.
